Ash re-asserts his dominance to win rounds 7 and 8 in the Formula Kart Stars Championship

The long trip out to Genk was well worth the journey. Ash and his CRG chassis back on the pace took the wins in Saturday’s round 7. Much to the dismay of his competitors in the championship he gave them a repeat performance on Sunday to take the win in round 8.

Saturday's win saw Ash take the chequered flag by a massive 7 seconds. Much muttering, chuntering , speculation and head scratching around the paddock resulted in Ash's engine being stripped by the scruitineers once more, other than a box of bits to put back together they found nothing.

Sunday rain, yet another visit to the scrutineers this time it was for a fruitless fuel check.  Seems the view around the paddock was that the engine rebuild hadn't done Ash any favours as he was only showing just above the pace of the others. Ash started Sunday's final from P2, and by the end of lap 1 had relieved pole position man Jack Barlow of the lead where he stayed for the remainder of the race. Tactics at play, Ash was looking after his tyres until it was time to push on, and push on he did upping his pace by almost half a second on his rivals. Taking the honours with a 2.36 second lead.

Brendan said " Another fantastic pair of wins. I think Ash silenced Saturday's critics with the performance he gave on Sunday following his engine rebuild. Everyone wants to know the secret of our success - well a lot of it is to do with that special little nut, which one ? -  It's the one just behind the steering wheel."

Ash said " I'm absolutley over the moon to have taken the wins in another two rounds. I'd like to thank everyone who helped me take the top step over the weekend. The CRG chassis handled beautifully for me now wev'e got the setup cracked, and the team had the engine singing, again a big thank you to everyone."

Two more wins will consolidate Ash's lead at the top of the table, and leaving the competion wondering just what do they have to do ?
