Having only started competitive racing in March 2007, Ash has already had numerous podium finishes to date. Ash is unbeaten as a novice driver at Whilton Mill, Shenington and Rissington kart clubs. He was winner in his first race off novice plates at Kimbolton.
Ash is also lap record holder at Kimbolton Kart Club (a record which was held for four years by Jonathon Railton who has since driven for BMW in Formula 1), and also a third on only his second visit to the circuit
